Texts not being received from Oz

Hi all!

My Step-Dad has just got a new phone on the Orange network (Nokia PAYG) and has been texting his son who lives in Oz. His son has been texting him back but none whatsoever have come back to him. His son is replying to the actual text sent so it is the correct phone number. My Mum is out there at the moment too and she is managing to receive and send texts to him but of course her phone is what she has over here normally anyway.

Could it be possible that he doesn't have something set up on his phone or network to be able to receive texts from phones abroad?

Just asking on his behalf before he gives them a call incase it is something we have overlooked.

Any help or suggestions greatfully received :o)

his son needs to make sure that the international dialling code is included in the number - for the UK from europe it's 0044, but I'm not sure what it'd be from Oz.

the UK is +44 from anywhere in the world, not just Europe!
