Storage Heaters!

I have storage heaters in my new apartment but I don't kow how they work and there's no manual. It says storage on one side and convector on another - two dials, 1 to 6! What i'd like it to do is save up the heat at night when it's cheap and release it about 4:30 just before i get home! Any ideas?
