shift key

hi all , i held down on my right shift key by accident , now my keyboard wont work. if i hold it down for 5 seconds it bleeps and then it will work again. my problem is that each time i turn my pc back on it goes back to the setting where that i have to hold down the shift key in order to get the keyboard working again , help required please, ps im om xp

It sounds like you have FilterKeys enabled. This can be disabled via the StickyKeys feature settings - instructions and further info here...
