do american power tools work in england, if so what is needed to get them working

All or most of the american power tools are 110 volt so all you need to do is go to a local electrical wholesaler and buy a 240volt to 110 volt transformer and the yellow plugs to go with it.

You could encounter problems operating US tools at 50Hz, rather than the mains frequency that they were designed for (60Hz).

The most likely effect of running a 60Hz electric motor at 50Hz is that it will run slightly hotter � but otherwise it should work OK.
