Afghanistan/terrorism

Another nine young lives lost in ten days, in that hell hole called Afghanistan, yet our 'chicken livered polititions' are still convinced these lives were lost in "the noblest of causes".
This ludicrous and impossible to win 'adventure' has already caused the deaths of 106 of our Lads & Lasses since 2001.
The polititions try and tell us that we are winning the war on terrorism, yet within our own shores, the threat is increasing, in fact we encorage it. Take that heap of sh*t Abu Oatada for example, look how much it is costing us to have him around.
Regarding one of his bail rules, 'that he cannot get in touch, or receive a visit from Bin Laden', well you just could not make it up, could you?
Samina Malik, the female Muslim airport worker also successful appealed against her conviction of breaching the anti terrorists laws, was also freed.
Earlier this year five other Muslims had their convictions quashed after the Appeal Court ruled that possessing Islamist videos and downloading jihadi propaganda did not constitute terrorist offences.

You couldn't arrest someone who supported the Holocaust and agreed with the Final Solution. Not unless they commit a criminal offence.
You can't arrest someone who believes that the Western world is evil and should be destroyed. You can't arrest pro-lifers who believe that abortionists should die. And you can't arrest someone who believes that Muslims are scum and that Islam should be purged from the world.
These are personal beliefs. The law shouldn't be able to hoover people for their beliefs and lock them away
Then again, I know plenty of you think it should.

I'm sure that IRA murderers listened to catholic sermons every sunday, and probably had a picture of the John Paul II on the wall, and maybe even watched the odd JPII video.
There was not a call at the time to lock up the Pontiff and throw away the key. Yet if a man in a silly beard preaches that his religion is the best and all the others are rubbish, then he is himself practically killing us and should be locked up.
The Appeals are working because the law is nonsensical and goes against commonsense. To read about Holy War does not mean you are going to do it, just as reading about Jack the Ripper doesn't make you a murderous psychopath.

It is impossible to justify the invasion of another country, simply because of a beloief that the invading country's system of government is superior, and should be inflicted on other nations by force.
The only way to try and justify the deaths and casualties is to bang on about 'noble sacrifice' and 'for the good of the cause' and 'doing what they loved ...'.
I would never wish death or injury on anyone, but by definition, joining the armed forces means that your job in essence, is to support or actively facilitate the death and destruction of others, and the rik of incurring the same result from similarly employed opposition.
We are invaders, and to the minds of the Muslim extremists, it is the West who are the 'terrorists' and this futile and endless struggle is simply not working in any meaningful way.
Holding a viewpoint is not illegal, which allows us the lucury denied to others of expressing our views freely on a site like this, and we should be grateful.
Let's appreciate our freedom, and understand the anger and hostility of peoples whose contries we invade because we believe that our way is right, and theirs is wrong.
Heaven forbid they should feel the same way about us.

My Question : When are the rest of Europe & The Commonwealth going to get stuck in with us ?.
Come on Australia, Canada, Germany, France, and all the other EU countries..
I live in a country that grandfather and father fought for in 2 World Wars.
They were proud to fight and proud to call this little island Great Britain.
Yet when I hoisted a Union Jack in my garden, I was arrested and threatened with court action for being racist, because my Muslim neighbours didn't like our flag.
This isn't Great Britain nor is it a United Kingdom.
We have lost our identity, we have lost our pride, and most of all we have lost OUR country.

Well obviously I don't know where you live, but in Great Yarmouth there are various people flying both the St George's Flag and the Union Jack with no problem at all - in fact the local park (called St Georges) which has just undergone a refurbishment has a St Georges Flag flying at the entrance.
Raggy - would you have extradited a Jew to Germany in 1941?

Union Flag or Union Jack - It does not matter, I was arrested and put in the cell's because my Muslim neighbour a senior doctor at my local hospital objected to my flag being seen from his children's bedroom.
The Police were called when this guy tried getting into MY garden, and I grabbed him around the throat.
As I said WHO'S COUNTRY IS THIS ?.

No, the point is do you think the Nazi's would give a Jew a fair trial?
Has Qatada had a fair trial? Probably not. Certainly the use of torture was used to extract 'confessions' in some countries. Should a person be prosecuted on these 'confessions'.
With regard the Union Jack, in 1908 Parliament stated that The Union Jack should be regarded as the Union Flag.
