What to do if you lose sotware for digital camera

I have just got a new computer, all working great, unfortunately I have mislaid the software disc for my digital Camera and can't seem to find where to buy one ( not even eBay!!) it's quite oldish, is there any way around this or am I looking at buying a new camera which would be a shame as nothing wrong with this one and I am attached to it.

Windows has built in software for downloading pictures from a digital camera to a PC.

Not sure what else the software that came with your camera did but you can almost certainly find software that will do something just as well for free on the internet.

Many of the major camera companies do provide software to download from their web sites. Why not go to th web site of the people who made your camera and look for "downloads" or "support" or "software".

If you can give us the make and model of the camera we may be able to help you find the software.

Hi, thanks for answering so quickly, I am not very clued up on this kind of stuff as you probably gathered, the camera is a Fuji Finepix A405

I never use the camera software - I don't bother installing it.

I download the photos much quicker by putting the memory card in my memory card reader. If I want to edit them I use my own photo editing software - there are some excellent free ones available.
