Gas central heating

I've got an old back boiler and am looking to replace this with a combi boiler. Am also looking to replace old Baxi gas fire with living flame one. I don't need new radiators. Does anyone have an idea of the likely cost? I have arranged to get a couple of quotes but as I have no idea of the going rate how do I know if I'm being ripped off?

They threw in a "free" bathroom radiator and insulated my loft and walls for only 450 as part of the deal. I went with them as I felt it would be safer. After hearing of quotes for around 2,000 for a new boiler I wish I had taken a chance and gone with someone else. Didn't think at the time, but the boiler would after all have had a guarantee wouldn't it? Oh well a lesson for the future.
