Dear oh dear....here we go again. Does nobody learn anything at school these days? Or are we now so besotted with the metric system that all else is forgotten? Too much info is available just by pressing a button or two. While I`m still ranting on, my 9-year old is being taught French at primary school even though she is barely passable in the `3 Rs`. The whole method of educating our kids needs overhauling. Urgently.

Talking about French I ordered the school to stop teaching my daughter French. She hated it and we both thought her time at school would be better spent learning something worthwhile. They thought they were being smart with me and put her in a woodwork class. She got the last laugh when she made a beautiful coffee table. That was 11 years ago and we still use the table to this day. Sorry to go off the subject.
