Wireless Router/ new desktop

I recently asked a question about connecting a new desktop to my wireless router. Forgive me if this sounds silly, but if I do not want to be wireless on the new computer, but just leave the laptop wireless, is it a question of connecting the ethernet cable to the wireless router and new desktop and then inserting the original installation disc I had from my supplier, BT, in order to receive broadband. By the way, the wireless router I am using is BT Voyager. The laptop I am using has Windows XP whereas the new desktop will have Windows Vista. Thanks.

Just connect the new computer to the router by ethernet - you probably won't have to run the disc.

If it doesn't work, run the disk.

It should already be configured - don't run the disk unless you want all the "helpful" rubbish that ISPs insist on loading
