I have SonyEricssonT300 with MMS/GRPS etc. and using a laptop having IRDA with WindowsXP but i do not know how to connect them. Windows help takes me to computer networking or internet.

Bring up network connections in control panel. Select create a new connection. Select advanced connection. Select connect directly to another computer. This allows connecting via IrDA, serial or parallel.
