Highest cash machine withdrawal

Because my eBay sales proceeds go into my PayPal account and then takes a week to transfer I wanted to get hold of the cash sooner. So I have got a PayPal Top-up card and load it from the PayPal Account and then get cash from any Visa machine. But PayPal make a charge PER WITHDRAWAL so I now need to know which machine has got the highest limit on withdrawal in one go.

I don`t think there is any way of telling in advance what the limit will be but perhaps I`m wrong on that. The PayPal Topup Card is operated by Royal Bank of Scotland and works similar to a Debit Card except that you can load it at a Post Office or a PayPoint for a fee or from your PayPal Account free.

hmmm i think you can take out 500 pounds a day in an abbey account, but thats not very helpful to you i guess!
I think the limit is set by the card provider, not the machine

It says in the terms & conditions on the Paypal website,you can withdraw up to �200 per day at an ATM.

Charges seem rather high to me!

I agree with bednobs,
It's the card that determines the amount,NOT the machine.
I have two Credit Cards,one has a �500 per day limit,the other is only �200.

I have one of these cards too and if you look a T & C, it says the maximum ATM withdrawal is �200 per day. For this you will be charged �2.

I don`t know what T& Cs you lot are looking at!! I thought my question was simple but you are obviously making it to be difficult!

The reference that the card makes to �200 is that "it is normally �200" meaning they consider that most machines will have a maximum payout of �200. This is not so as I have often obtained �500 from Abbey in two go`s but could not remember if I did �300 + �200 or �250 twice, or may be even �400 + �100. Anyway I have got what I needed - �280 from the Abbey machine for my first transaction. I am fairly sure that the Abbey machine will pay out a maximum of �400 in one go but will try it next time I need to use the card.

Although you may think that the card being used is what matters, I do believe that in this case it is the machine limit which will apply. Why shoulnn`t it?
