i asked for advice about my emac a while ago, and somebody advised me to buy an extreme card, well i ordered the card, and fitted it yesterday, but see no difference. this was supposed to connect me to wi-fi
any advice would be appreciated

I assume you fitted it through the front panel, as suggested in the manual?

Click the apple logo top-left, then 'about this mac', then 'more info'. Is there an 'airport' option down the left pane of that window?
