We are currently housesitting and the tv is on Sky.Every few minutes it flashes up 'please insert your new sky viewing card' which obviously we don't have. The channels are working fine but this is in the middle of the screen and is really irritating. Is there anything we can do to stop this happening? We have Virgin at home so are not sure what to do.Thanks if you can help

Sky are currently sending out updated viewing cards there maybe one in the post that has arrived recently. All the instructions will be with it on what to do.
I got my new Sky card a day or so ago.

See if there is an envelope around the house that has come from Sky and feel if there is a card in there.

If so, remove the old card from the Sky box, put in the new card, and the message should stop.

Hi,thanks for both your answers.I found some new cards in the drawer but when I looked at the Skybox there is no card in the slot at all!!??? Don't understand. We haven't taken it out so how does the TV work? Tried the new cards (there are 2) and neither work at all. This is very strange.Any ideas?
Look for a hidden a card slot behind a flap. There are nearly always 2 slots - one for the viewing card (often hidden behind a flap) and the other one was designed to be used for "interactive" services, but has not (to the best of my knowledge) ever been utilised.

What colour are the "new" cards you found? The blue ones with a yellow house are being replaced by all-white ones.
2 Cards? Do they have two boxes (a "multi-room" subscription), maybe one in the bedroom? You need to put the right card in the right box as they are "pre-paired" by Sky.
