Possibly not.
Most policies will have a condition excluding component/mechanical failure, and it's possible your's would fall within that remit.
However, it's a grey area at times. For example, if an electrical fault sets fire to a car, we'd cover the resultant damage, but not the cause (a bit dull, but there you go). I think each case is taken on it's own merits though.
So in your case, it's POSSIBLE that the resulatant damage (i.e. blown electrics), but not the leak itself
