I want to extend the cable of my roof aerial .

Is there a kit to do that ( some sort of fixing plus cable ) ?

Also is there a kit to split the cable to go to two separate tv sets - and would that affect significantly the signal ?

Larger branches of Tesco, as well as Asda and just about every 'pound shop' or 'discount store', sell aerial extension cables. Sometimes they come as a complete kit, with (for example) the clips to fix the cable to the wall:

Alternatively you can buy co-ax cable, plus the relevant plugs etc, at any branch of Maplin (in most towns). That's handy if you want to make a specific length of cable but it can be a bit fiddly fitting the plugs onto the cable.

You'll note that the kit shown in the link includes a 'Y' splitter box, so that the signal can be sent to two different devices. Splitting a signal in that way obviously results in some signal loss along each cable. If you've got a good aerial, and you're fairly close to a transmitter, that might not affect reception. (Millions of homes have got that type of splitter in their aerial systems, with perfect reception at the end of each cable). However if the signal loss is such that you can't get reliable reception on both TVs you'd need to replace the Y-splitter with a two-way amplifier, such as this one:

If you just want a longer cable then you can get either a co-axial plug and socket and fit them on the cable ends then plug them together, alternatively use 2 plugs and a jouning adaptor. No special tools needed just a knife. As to whether you can run 2 TVs from 1 aerial the answer is if you have a decent signal then probably yes, otherwise you may need a booster (about £15) For 2 TVs you will need a splitter too.
Split properly .. at or near the masthead with a 2-way amp.
You will get less that half the gain and same noise with a passive splitter.
Use satellite fittings/joiners on TV coax. Better spec. Best would be 2x F plugs and an F Plug joiner, or a male and female F plug.
