Hotpoint WD61 - Not emptying

Hotpoint WD61 - I have taken back off, removed and emptied blocked filter but having reasssembled the water does not drain and therefore does not spin. However, if I empty water via a bucket from drain hose the machine does then spin properly!
Any help on this please. Thanks in advance Sharon

Sounds like the pump faulty.

As dzug says ... sounds like the pump.The good news is, they are cheap as chips..!
