In order to get a quote from this company , you ( unusually ) only need to answer a few questions - unlike other insurers .
They appear to be an internet only , company - the policy holder manages
his/ her policy themselves , in terms of making changes etc
Is anyone on here with them - if so what has been your experience ?

We didn't know about damage at the time, as couldn't get round back of house in early 2010 - due to the exceptional and unusually bad weather. Didn't think of claiming insurance when we did see it, but somebody else suggested it. AXA sent surveyor from Imperial Consultants. He suggested we claim for cast iron replacement but put of plastic - which we said was dishonest. He said that is what's done. His photos have been shown to be factually wrong, yet AXA still insists on taking his word. We asked time and again for another surveyor, but AXA now says matter is closed. We are in process of getting everything ready to send to Financial Ombudsman - which I'm told will automatically cost AXA £250. The amount the company has spent in time and postage, paper etc saying no to my mother would probably have gone a fair way to paying her claim. It's an honest claim, but AXA has treated us like criminals from nearly first contact. Happy to take money for premium, but less happy to pay out. Maybe they thought an 81 year old woman would just give up!
She'd been through enough this last year with problems caused/left by the company "fitting" new central heating system under Scottish Govt scheme (Wiseman's of Elgin). We didn't need AXA to turn round and very nearly suggest we were trying to submit a fraudulent claim.
AXA is not a nice company, and I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole. The slogan "redefining standards" is very ambiguous as, in my opinion, its standards are most definitelyy going DOWN.
