We are 9 miles from Blackburn Lancashire but have the BB7 Postcode, Blackburn is noted for Tail end accidents, also the accident rate is high, we live in a market town, volume of traffic is low, how can the Insurance Prices compare the 2 areas the same risk?

How do you know that they have treated them the same? The full postcode would distinguish the areas quite clearly.
^^ Also as you are so near a high risk area they assume you will be driving through that area and at higher risk of an accident. Insurance uses the full post code to determine the area not just the first part.

Because some insurance companies are just as crooked as the scum who do the bash for cash.
Why would anyone want to sell on a logbook for a total write off if not to "ring" a bent motor
