As in update. Back a month ago I took it upon myself to get material prices, the intention was for the neighbor to buy and I would do the labour. and gave them to the neighbor, where bye she said her insurance has told her to submit 2 quotes.
I have left it in her hands since then, but has not been in touch since.
If she has submitted quotes, wouldn't she have been told by now.
I went round today but could not get an answer, even though I knew she was in.
Is getting my insurance involved a good move. Assuming I can get her insurance providers details.

Do you want your insurance to pay for it?
If she owns the fence, she doesn’t have to do anything at all.
my insurance will only pay for fences if they have been run into by vehicle etc..not weather damage ?
My insurance will cover damage to the property of others from things like my trees falling provided I have taken proper care of the trees etcet. I know this because I checked recently. IMO the insurance issue here is a red herring. If its neighbours fence and neighbour’s tree she doesn’t have to do anything. If its neighbour’s tree and malagabob’s fence she has to fund the repair. Where she gets the money from is irrelevant. Malagabob doesn’t seem to know whose fence it is, so i would suggest he sorts that first.

As an update to my first post. I managed to catch my neighbor going out, and asked her If her insurance had recieved her 2 quotes and what was the reply
She gave the "classic" answer she had not heard from them so she had emailed them again that very morning.
Do you think she's stalling and has not sent any quotes.
Could I ask her for her insurers. Any if any ref numbers. And ask my insurers to
contact hers, to gee them up.
As far as I know it's my fence.
