Does This Quote Seem Reasonable?

I got hold of a plumber who said he would let me have a quote then I never heard from him again! The same thing happened a second time with a different plumber. Now for the third time I have eventually got a quote from the third plumber for £380 and I wondered if this seems reasonable?
The job entails buying a new rad 40cm w x 60cm h for the kitchen, all the rest is labour.
Moving a radiator from my bedroom to the bathroom as the bathroom one is going rusty. It's exactly the same size.
Moving a radiator from the kitchen to my bedroom as it's too big for the kitchen, then fitting the new radiator in the kitchen.
There will be a bit of pipework involved and of course the system will have to be drained, but I really don't want to start looking for another plumber for another quote but I just want to be sure this quote is reasonable. Many thanks.

This is very basic plumbing, so perhaps it's beneath plumbers, hence the lack of interest. Have you thought of an odd-job man? You may get a better response and it will probably be cheaper too.

Even if one were to suggest that it is high (I am not suggesting that) the quote does not seem hugely unreasonable. One reason for the lack of interest could be concern over working with old radiators, some of which are visibly rusty - most plumbers would not wish headaches over leaks some time after the job was carried out.

Mmmm, difficult decision Barsel. Probably what you would have to pay in the London area. Anywhere else you could save £100 or so,

It is basic. Not even a day's work for a good plumber. I( think Karl's right. He really doesn't want the job, I'm afraid.

I did wonder if that was the case as it did seem a bit steep to me and I live in Manchester not London. I remember a painter and decorator telling me once that if he didn't want the job, he would quote very high and as 2 other plumbers haven't even got back to me with a quote I'm realising that this job isn't worth them bothering with. Will probably have to do as bhg suggests and get an odd job man. I'm just a bit annoyed that people can't just tell you they're not interested. Thanks for your answers.

The problem is they have bigger fish to fry (jobs with more profit) and you get put on the back burner and forgotten about.
It is a bitty job and as KARL says and how can you give guarantees with old radiators. The fact that one is rusting must suggest that as they are all on the same system .. the others cant be far behind it. Personally I would think this as false economy to save a few £ and then blame the plumber when an old rad begins to leak at the seam ..?
If it leaks upstairs then the next thing is your ceilings will be stained and it will take more than the cost of a new radiator to re-decorate.

... and a bit of pipe ... £40-80 all in for materials. So he is getting at least £300 for his days work.
