The small appears to be blaming the black car but it’s the white car that attempts to overtake the van obviously without looking in the mirrors hitting the black car and causing the crash, whose fault was it?

The daily mail not ‘The small’ lol
don't know, its rather hazy., whoever is at fault was incredibly lucky, as were the other drivers.

Clearly the fault of the White car driver, who obviously didn't check
her mirrors or signal before pulling out.

You can clearly see the white car pulling out to the right and clipping the black car causing the chain reaction.
The white car pulled out into the path of an overtaking vehicle so the white car is at fault
Definitely the white car at fault.Pulls out to overtake without giving a signal
The black car driver is an idiot as well. Overtaking that many vehicles at speed. He should have foreseen the possibility that someone would pull out in front of him, and not carried out the manouver.

Even with a signal it would have been too late to overtake as the black car was already on the side of it, as said the white car failed to check mirrors as would have seen the overtaking car, stayed in lane untill the black car overtook.
yes it is 100% the fault of the white car for pulling out to overtake the van and not checking that he himself was not actually also being overtaken.
Looks as if the black car might just have been in the white car's blind spot. No excuse though. Should have turned his/her head to make sure all was clear.
Both at fault. The black car was so far over the speed limit that even if the white car driver saw it they would have expected to have room to pull out.
Assuming the camera car was going at or near the speed limit the black car must have been doing over twice the speed limit ,from looking at the video and seeing how fast it passed the camera car.
I think the black car was doing around 100 mph or more.
that's what I do LadyB, in motorcycling it's known as the "life saver" - most bikers do it when they drive a car too.
Just watched it again, the black car was well behind the camera car and probably out of sight when the white car started the maneuver.
But again I did not see the white car signalling that it was pulling out.
I am sure the insurance will split this one 50/50.

I think Eddie must have watched a different Video to me as I didn't have access to any of the vehicles speedometers
eddie how do you know how fast the camera car was going? how do you know the speed limit of the road? The road looks like it's a 60 limit to me and black car was no way exceeding that. It was a proper passing opportunity on a straight fast road. The white car had got himself too close to the van and then decided to overtake just at the wrong time.
50/50 eddie, you're having a turkish! the one pulling out in front of something is nearly always the one at fault, simples.

///the black car was well behind the camera car and probably out of sight when the white car started the maneuver///

Specsavers for you Eddie ;o)
The white car does not start its manoeuvre that early EDDIE.
Yes, I agree with everyone, definitely the white car.
If every person commenting on this video is a driver, then some of them need to read the highway code or take some lessons. There is only one driver to blame, in the white car.
