The deadline for lodging a claim for PPI misselling is tomorrow, and having heard Martin Lewis on the radio today saying that just sending a query counts as starting a claim, I've just filled out a form about a mortgage I had a while ago. Only took about 5 minutes and very straightforward - no idea if I had PPI, but I thought it worth asking.
Have any ABers made a successful PPI claim?

We claimed a few months back on mortgages we had on our main home and two rentals, we no longer have mortgages but we did get a decent payout, well worth doing in our opinions.

Thanks, that's encouraging. Although I don't remember signing something for PPI separately, I get the impression that sometimes it was 'bundled' with the mortgage. Fingers crossed....
Two of my friends have got literally thousands back. One had no idea she had signed up to it.
Did mine yesterday Had a bank loan many years ago. Was advised to take out PPI. Wasn’t advised it wasn’t for me as I was self employed.
I did one yesterday. Fingers crossed!
Really? The PPI business has been going on longer than the Brexit issue and some of you have waited until now to claim?
Well I'm thinking of a last ditch effort - I put in a claim with my bank (Barclays) last year but they came back saying I was due nothing - but I've wondered ever since if it's a case of 'they would wouldn't they' as I had a B/card for years, mortgages, a loan, a couple of store cards. Just not sure which last ditch people to go with?
Yes , we did on a mortgage we had,got nearly £7,000 back, worth a try
I did it a few years ago and got small amounts here and there.

Unusually I forgot to check for PPI on my mortgage lender at the time so submitted another claim with another claims firm a few months back. The mortgage lender claimed they had not record of me so I sent a scanned statement!
If you have had 2 different lenders, do you have to start new claims for each one?????
You can put both lenders on one claims form Sharon
Thanks Bobbi.
