Air Fryer Liners

Those of you who have an air fryer, do you use a liner in it, either silicone or parchment? Or don't you find it necessary to use any liner as it's easy to clean without.

We have some sort of silicon rubber basket we use inside the device. It seems to work well, but don't expect it to stay cool.

I use the parchment ones and they work well.  However, don't do what I did and put one in when preheating the air fryer.  The smell of burning wasn't pleasant.

I've not yet cooked anything in my air fryer which has left it needing more than just a quick wipe over (taking only a couple of seconds or so) to clean it.  I can see no point at all in using liners.

I was wondering about cooking say a whole chicken, rather than oven chips or fish fingers etc, something which can make a mess.

I cook a whole chicken in a bag in my fan oven, simply to save mess, so was just musing about air fryer cooking..

I cook whole chickens in my airfryer but never bother with liners. Easy to wash
