How can you find out (a) if your car is insured and (b) who the insurance company is.
I have lost my car insurance details. The Company I thought that I was insured with say that I'm not - even though they sent me a new certificate! I may not be insured - but if I take out new insurance, I might be insured twice for the same vehicle! Help!

check your bank statements and see who you have paid for insurance

Police can check for you through their computer system. If you explain your problem at your local station they will sort you out.
