Immobilising my car immobiliser
After several months of electrical problems with my Renault Clio I have been told by my garage that it would be a good idea to remove the immobiliser instruction from my car computer, thus enabling me to start the car with any key that will fit the ignition barrel. I have been assured that this will cure all my electrical problems. My question is - should I inform my Motor insurance company that this work has been carried out and if so what would be the likelihood of my premiums increasing as a result? Any comments would be most appreciated.
