no that was'nt my case thank you for your interest tho.
why would a broker not renew the cover? when did u pay? did they have to wait for a cheque to clear or something?

does anyone have insurance where you are?
Question Author
south london, hardly. my point is does it not carry on 4 atleast 7 days? are you meant to get a notice? i don't know thats why im asking, sorry for my not knowing but im not on here to be attacked
Well, you are only being quizzed because you have posted two different no insurance questions supposedly from yourself, but now it seems both you and a friend have been done for the same thing.

How did you pay the broker?
By the way, 12.00 is noon, 1 am is 13 hours later, not one hour.
of course insurance doesnt go on for 7 days past expiry!
and youll will have been sent a reminder by your brokers or insurance company.

unless you can prove the insurer had cleared funds and deliberately chose not to renew then youll have little chance.
Question Author
ive had my licence for 5 years my insurance normally carries over to the next year even if i dont pay straight away, insurance was reminded by me to renew by phone and payment would be made day after they agreed,
thats a decent broker who pays up for your insurance before waiting for you to pay.

ask them why they did do this and get their comments in writing
Question Author
and sorry there insurance stopped at 12.00am and was caught at 1.00, would the courts not even give any sort of leighweigh for a hour
Question Author
theres no stops in the insurance, they tried to change my insurance company without telling me.
no they wont
Question Author
i dont get this. my solicitor and the officer who took my done the producer said appeal should work, then i come on here and theres no chance at all, who to believe.
a broker doing the right job will look around various insurers for you and offer you an new company if its cheaper.

They mustve notified you as you agreed it 3 days prior. What date did you pay them?

with the old firm did you pay by direct debit each month or something? thats the only way it may look to you that you werent paying straight away.
Well believe your solicitor, obviously

If you have a solicitor, why are you asking an anonymous website?
sorry but your story does not make any sort of sense - YOU decide which insurance company you use, not a broker or anyone else. The bare facts are if you want car insurance, you ring them up/visit them/go on internet, pay them and they tell you when the insurance is starting. if you get instant cover, it starts from the moment you pay. if you dont pay, they dont cover you, simple as.

Out of interest, why were you stopped?
Question Author
i paid them upfront yearly
