broken finger

i have broken my little and ring finger today and didnt go into work, i phoned my boss and told him i had broken my fingers and wanted to put the day in, he said okay as long as i got to hospital, i went down to hospital and waited nearly 4 hours just to see a doctor, who told me i might be there another 3 as they had some big emergency car accidne tor something, so i went home.
the only thing is i stupidly told my boss that it i had an x ray and its broken...how can i make my finger look like the hospial have strapped it up.

i know lying is wrong and its not like i did it to get time off, im going in tomorrow and i used a holiday for today, but i need it to look convincing...any ideas?

All the hospital would've done if its broken, is tape it to the next finger with a bit of gauze between the two. It would be taped at the top and at the base in two bands. You would keep it like this for 4-6weeks

thanks, its taped like that anyway, my fella has taped a splint round a finger and the little one to it, its definatley broken as they are wonky bruised and impossible to bend

if the nail changes colour you should probably go and see someone, the hospital would've organised an apointment at a fracture clinic.

You will need to tape both fingers to the middle finger.

How much pain are you in?

should they? all i got told was to come back tomorrow if it gets worse, they wasnt very helpful really.
its not that bad now as i been taking ibuprofen and i been applying ice to it.

Why not go to your GP and get a sick note and send it to your boss. If there is any lying to be done the doctor's note will do it.
