cheapest building and contents insurance

been on all the search websites,does anyone know any really cheap insurers??

i dont know if this is still the case, but years ago i went to look at a house, i went through all the mortgage advise with the estate agents independant mortgage adviser. I didnt go ahead with the purchase but when i advised them the finance guy offered insurance for my current property. The prices he could get were ridiculously cheaper than what i was paying!
it may be worth calling your estate agents and asking if they have similar agents offering insurance too
