I've been into Swintons to get their quote for the renewal, last year I paid £357.97, this year, with an additional one year no claims bouns discount and the same car, same clean license, same postcode, it's £604.00. The woman in Swintons says it's cos insurance has gone up. I said well wages haven't so I want to pay less than last year cos of yet another year without a claim. She fiddled on the screen abit and got it down to £397.! What a bloody con! If I'd have said ok fine here's 604 quid she'd have been laughin! Still, I've asked her to ring the insurance provider to ask if they will throw in a £30 windscreen cover add on to compensate for having to pay more this year.

Oh and 'no question included in the above' for the sarcy ones.
as with all of them they hike it up hoping to keep you with apathy. I shop round annually now otherwise they take the pi55.
dotty, do a confused/compare the meerkat and you'll get it for what you paid last year.
Just today had mine from SAGA.Last year £133, this year £194. I shall phone them later as they knocked some off when I did that before. I looked on confused.com and got it down to £149. Mine is not expensive to start with I know, I drive a little corsa and don't do many miles and realize that other people will be saying £194 is very cheap, but its the £60 hike for no apparent reason that irks me. I expect it to increase a bit every year along with everything else but £60 is a bit steep.
Performance direct, last year £502, this year £599, More th>n £499! next year it'll be more th>n tryting to shaft me. You have to change each year. It's not the insurers dotty, there's less than half a dozen of those anyway, it's the brokers.
Last year I was paying under £300 for fully comp, this year my premium has shot up to £1017, even I've been a good boy for the pass 10 years. So far I manage to get a few quotes just averaging over £600. It so depressing they can charge however they like. Those of you getting a slight increase count yourself lucky you're not paying over the roof.
