Accidental life insurance

I was just wondering if these type of insurances paid out purely on accidents? if you were murdered for instance or in a plane that was blown up by a terrosist bomb would the insurance company see these type of incidents as accidents?

You would get compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board in that instance.
They pay out on death which is not attributed to natural causes i.e. a car accident. Check the exclusions to see what's not covered as all policies differ
