I'm a full time politics student and rather than working in a pub or shop part-time, I miss the odd week of lectures here and there to do temp work. I have now been offered a full time position in HR in a large company, and they are willing to provide training and support for me to do CIPD qualifications. As personnel is an area I'm looking at going into when I graduate anyway, and entry positions are few and far between, do you think it could be worth me leaving my course and taking the position?
hi. i think you should take the job offer if it is what you are looking for.
i know if i had a chance like that, i would take it straight away.
good luck in whatever you decide :)
At the end of the day is is a decision only you can make.
If I were in the same position, I would probably go for the job. You read so much about graduates running up massive debts just to survive and then being unable to get a job at the end of their studies anyway.
If it is a field that you would be looking to get into even if you didc complete your course and the salary is pretty ok, if they are offering to train you I would go for it.
If you take the job and end up not liking it, or not being able to continue with your career for some reason, there's always the option of returning to study for your degree.
On the other hand, you can't put a job offer on hold in case uni doesn't work out.
