do you ever feel that your stuck in a rut, you get paid every month and then the money is gone before youeven see it and wish and can not wait again until pay day. what a merry go around.

All the time! My wage is spent before I even get it which feels awful. We always say "we're going to save something this month" then something else crops up, like a bill we'd forgotten about or our son needing something new. It's never ending!!!

thats so bad i got paid friday by monday mornning i got �150 left. this is got to last me 4 weeks ..... how???/ i guess theover draft must kick in so much for the credit cruntch i 've had this problem for the past 10 years...

society manipulates us into acting in a certain way, and there are expectations upon us to spend our money in a certain way - to such an extent i think we would not be able to survive if we didnt continue to perpetrate the lie.

but, i think you are ready to be brave and can see that if possible you are now ready to make changes..................

drastic perhaps, but possible none the less......................

if you can, really look at every single penny you spend and open yourself up to "doing without " - you might be quite shocked by what you really do spend your money on !! i did !!!

To pmorris1961 what the h-e-l-l are you talking about? society doesnt MAKE us do anything. Are you suggesting we get brainwashed or something? No one and nothing makes anyone go into a shop and buy something completley useless because for. What did you forget that we all have a conscious mind? We are all accountable for our actions. You cant just say oh well society is to blame. what a pathetic cop out.

We are a consumer society - but why? because we dont have anything else to do with our lives. A merry go round it is. Why do you think people say life is too short? Because it becomes a meaningless and pointless fiasco of go to work get paid go to work get paid go to work get paid blah blah blah. If your alive for 80 years - that is a hell of a long time! Life gets boring because it becomes routine. Nothing is new anymore. You see the same faces, drive the same route, say the same thing, do the same thing - and really what for?

Why do we bother? What really is our incentive?

me? I get paid and buy crap but atleast i recognise i have everything - yet nothing. I have money, but why? I work but why? So someone else can get all their benifits whilst i slave away? I dont get recognised for my work. I dont get appreciated for it. I just get shouted at all day. Customer service? dont make me laugh.

My advise? save your money - and then you can buy something bigger and better - which still is effectivley wasting your money

Great views!! but do you not think what is money? its just a piece of paper and yet mankind has made it so importent that we die for it. I realy don't understand it. I am not rich I live on day to day and I wait fo rthe pay day .... alas pay day comes and goes and start again.
I have counted every penny that I hae spend during a month, ie;;;;;; �540 morgage, �155 loan I took out cuz I was despartete, �105 for a secound hand car I needed cuz mine died. �40 car insurance �28 house insurance ...the list goes on and on... I find I only have about �150 left for the whole month again.

Inase your wondererring I only earn about 1150 and that after doing 60 hours a week!! and yes you have a point there is no point.
Life has no real meaning we live and then we die and who realy cares. lets be honest.
unless you enjoy each day of life and are so happy which is about 0.01% in UK the rest of us we just keep hearing in the news the inflation has gone up and recession is on its way.. people have lost their homes etc etc

i buy weight watcher meals 2 for �4 so for a week I only need 2 meals and I cooke fresh vegetables which I have for 2 days atleast I drink plenty of water and no booze. I do not smoke, go out or have great night life, infact I do not even have a partner. sad but true. I try to save at least �30 towards my bills.
Guess what I even manage to live decent life. if thats what you call it I call it something else.

But the government keeps telling us ression is on its way I thinks its already here!!!! it always was.
