Are you a teacher? Do you think that bullying is out of hand in schools? Do you think your school deals with it appropriately? Would you say anything if it wasn't? If a victim of a bully lashes out at school, do you quietly think "Good on ya" or no this can't be tolerated in any situation?

I think the general concensus is that you would think "good on ya" but you obviously wouldn't say this as it would still have to be dealt with in the same way that fighting is dealt with. Every school should have an extensive bullying and behaviour policy setting out explicit guidelines as to what to do in situations regarding bullying. Most/all schools have the no tolerance attitude to bullying and these policies outline this. I do however beileve that some schools do deal with it in the wrong way because they don't realise how bad the bulling has become. If they don't know about it there is not much that they can do to stop it.

Thanks Bird. My daughters school has been on special measures, implemented a new anti bullying policy but my daughter continued to be bullied by several girls 3 years older than her. My daughter had enough, set about the bully and she (my daughter) was excluded because she was a danger to the school. What had happened to my daughter previously was of no significance!!
