equality ... do we want it?
0 Answers
On Tuesday evening the Equality Bill was agreed by both Houses of Parliament and sent to the Queen to receive Royal Assent.
It is expected that Assent will be received before the Parliamentary session ends on 12 April. Once the Bill has received Assent, it will be made law by way of the Equality Act 2010.
But do we want artificial equality , enforced by legislation?
Isn't "Vive La Difference" the very essence of life? Doesn't this sort of legislation start to erode our unique identity?
This legislation is just patronising ... (patronising is when you talk down to people).
