i started a job a week ago in a retail shop another bloke started at the same time as me. last night he said i was annoying him because i am quiet when i did'nt say anything he slamed his wrist on the table and said he 's going to"f..................... strangle me and got very aggresive. i was worried and told the supervisor who was also scared of him!!
i then sent an email to head manager this bloe saw the email.
should i be worred

give it ten minutes or so - first untoward remark out of there pronto, hopefully recorded on your mobile that just happened to have been left running and phone the HO and say they either take action or you are going to the police with the evidence. And you are going home as you fear for your safety. Check as well with your Sup to see that they are ok as there may also be...

tell him bluntly, his behaviour was unacceptable and if he persists you will report him again. However, if he shows you respect and works with you, you will rescind your comments.

yes i did that but said he not the type to forgive and forget. he said he has hurt many people before
record what he says, i.e leave your mobile on when you see him 1st thing tomorrow.
If your realy worried, phone the police, if your manager does nothing to help you, which they are supposed to do.

I don't understand your last post at all - but nobody has to put up with bullying and harassment at work. Keep a note of all incidents, you may need them.

he shouldnt be allowed to get away with this behaviour,
he sounds a right nut job, and yes, his attitude and aggression would definately worry me slightly....
i really hope things improve for you postage, without things getting particularly unpleasant between you both.
its not fair you should be going through this.

he got the SACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i have to watch my back i've been told,
its the devil or the deep blue sea... this man is a proper nut case. the type you read in papers.. wish me luck i am going to need it

Could you not relate this scenario to your local police------ they may well be aware of him ? I think I would feel threatened--- please take care.
