Lidl Too Good To Waste
22 Answers
This is a new anti-waste initiative by Lidl's. I just noticed it today. A massive box...grapes, apples, blueberries, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers...and more. All for £1.50!

(Trudging to the local Co-op in the rain for one onion isn't something I like to do at the best of times but I'm even more reluctant to do so when I'm still officially meant to be shielding). Until I saw your link, I'd never thought of keeping chopped onion in my freezer!
>>> Do you live alone and not cook very often?
Yup!
If a buy an onion to, say, put it in a casserole (for one), a small amount of it goes in the casserole and the rest probably sits in a cupboard (in the hope that I might find a use for it) until it's no longer usable. Then, the day after I've thrown it out, I find that I want to cook something that needs onion again!
>>> Buenchico, you can buy chopped frozen onion in supermarkets.
Now you mention it, Cashier, I vaguely remember seeing them but deciding that the packs are too big for me. (I've only got a tiny table-top freezer, so I try to avoid buying big packs of stuff that will be taking up space for months).
