My boss picks on me

I work in a hotel as a waitress/anything else that may need doing. I haven't been there long and before that I haven't done waitressing for ages. I admit I make mistakes at work and I'm not great at my job but she makes everything I do seem like the end of the world. Even if I'm doing something right she will abruptly tell me to go do something else. My other half thinks it's cos he works there as a manager and isn't much liked because he is very strict and often picks up on her mistakes so she see's me as a way to get back at him. She's untrained. Doesn't even have any GCSE's. She makes plenty of mistakes and so do other people but they never make a big deal out of them. I'm treated like I'm stupid. I was serving a customer at the bar one time and she sent someone over to take over from me and send me back to the restaurant, which I think looks bad infront of the customer and there was nothing to do in the restaurant?!?!?! It's really hard to no take it personally and she's making me look stupid to my partner. She panics me and then I do even more wrong.

If definatly sounds like shes jealous and is also doing this because of your partner.
As its a hotel you have a proper personnel department, go have a chat with them, tell them that you dont want them to do anything yet though (so you can make them aware and if it does go further then at least you have made them aware early one.) Also you might want to think about moving departments, there might be openings in reception or something.
Good luck with it cos its not nice, my boss is toxic too but we have no personnel or anything like that!

If she's jealous of me then I really don't see why. I try my very best at work and I'm always coming up with ways to improve things but at the same time I do make mistakes too, like forgetting where I'm taking the food - thats happend twice now, but it happens to everyone. Unfortunatly it's a family run hotel so no personelle dep and no matter where I work in the hotel she will be my boss. She doesn't own the hotel but she's very close to the people who do. I've asked to be moved to the bar or reception but no one listens. I can do both, far better than waitressing but they seem to want me in the restaurant.
