I applied for a job last week which i thought was ICT technician with no mention of web dev being involved but when i looked at the job ad a few days later there was a mention of web dev which im sure wanst there before, iv been offered an interview and i was wondering if i sould tell the guy i wont bother with the interview as web dev is involved, i dont want to waste the guys time as he actually got back to me which i find polite as some companies dont call you back.
Do you mean that you can't do web design or that you don't want to?
If you don't want to then yes, I would phone them up and say that you have decided to withdraw your application.
If it is because you can't do it, surely they have seen your CV or the info that you have provided on the application form and shortlisted you for interview on that basis. They must know that you don't have experience in that area, perhaps they are willing to train the right person.
I think ill go to the interview and do what i can, he may even let me know next week that i didnt get the job, for all i know dreamweaver could be easy to use,
