Do all job vacancies have to be advertised
Do all job vacancies have to be advertised? My children's school has recently employed a lot of new teaching assistants, none of the vacancies have been advertised. All the jobs have gone to parents who were helping in the school. Is this allowed? It seems morally wrong to me.

The real issue here is not the fact that they are parents, it is how good they are at doing the job. Focus on that element and then if they can't deliver, raise it with the headteacher.
