I really want to start work as a teacher or in a school in some way as soon as possible (ideally starting in the new academic year), but am only educated up to A-Level - could someone please help me - there seem to be so many routes and I'm so confused as to what to do!

You'll have to wait quite a while before you start teaching- it certainly won't be by the start of the next academic year.
You need a degree (3 years minimum) plus a PGCE qualification (one year). Or you could do a teaching degree (not sure if they take 3 or 4 years).
