The manager/ owner of a cafe is 'going to see what I'm like' today . . .

I'm punctual, from 'oliver' have shown i can work in a busy but well organised (at times) group, smartly dressed and because I've been to the cafe loads of times before, I know how things work there . . .

But she did say it'll probably only be casual work in the summer holidays (better than nothing though).

It's only minimum wage and probably not every weekend though so i'll still keep an eye out for something with more hours.

Plus the owner asked me when my exams are and won't ask me in on the two weekends that are just before my exams which is good.
Any news on the boat yet. Have they got MR's donation?
Molly - I am sure the holiday camps have other jobs other than cleaning, but there is nothing wrong with a little cleaning summer job - most chalets I have stayed in have been minging, so I don't think you will be run off your feet. hahaha

Not yet yoga, does MR live in England I think he's originally from somewhere else in europe . . .

I'm not desperate for the money so I think I'd rather not have a job at all than be a cleaner . . .
Molly, if you are not desperate for a little pocket money, then do volunteering - when my son was your age, he used to volunteer at the summer camps at the YMCA - he loved it and it is also something that looks good on a CV.

I would volunteer at a couple of animal places but the nearest one says you have to be 18 and another would cost well over £5 in bus fairs . . .
Sounds like a plan mollykins,

after over twenty years with same company I had advanced to UK Manager for computer Installations. However I was made redundant in '95, worked as temp in a PC Helpdesk call centre (hated it), but useful while I kept looking for a proper job. a year later, Do It All gave me a full time job as sales consultant and trainer (better than helpdesk). A year later landed a proper job as contracts administrator and Trainer.

But those couple of years waiting for a proper job were pure he**. I don't envy you, but soundls like you're doing what you have to, to get ahead.

Good luck from a thankfully now retired....

Well done Molly --just a point never , ever turn your nose up at something like a cleaning job-- if it pays and you need the cash do it. It is always easier to get job when you are in a job , however menial it may appear to some to be.
