When asked in an interview, "What are your weakness'", whats a great answer?

I used to wait until the last minute to set planfor the coming week, but I realized that scheduling in advance makes much more sense

The last time I got asked for 3 bad things about myself, at an interview, I just laughed and said that I'm not messing about with stuff like that. I'm too long in the tooth. You've got my CV, you've got my references and you've seen how I handle myself. The rest is up to you. I got the job.
I'm not recommending that, Rom, but I can't be ar5ed with tinpots who mess around with people at interviews.

It's a reasonable question these days, to ask for strengths and weaknesses, just to find out if you recognise your own shortcomings. If someone asked me that, then my answer would be a variation on romzana's - "I'm a just in timer, I often wait until a deadline is near before getting to grips with it, but I always deliver - but I recognise that for some other people, this can be difficult to deal with".

If they press me, I say that I have a totally professional attitude to my work, and if I ever had any weaknesses, I have long ago resolved these by learning and training

( If they go in for staff adventure days out, not being able to swim is one way of getting out of them !!!)

I try to be honest about things. I've told people interviewing me I'm a smart-ass, I find humor in everything, and I'm not a morning person. I've missed out a few times but I'd rather them know my real shortcomings up front.

I like Atalanta's answer. Personally I dont remember ever being asked that. I would just wait a respectful 15 seconds and say, I cant think of anything. Why give them reasons to doubt your abilities.

These are always horrid questions. What you have to do is answer it but make something positive out of it, then chat about how well you have done. For example, lets say your weakness is spelling, mention how you bought a dictionary, use spell checkers, always check your work,and ask others for help if necessary.

They do ask some stupid questions in some interviews for some jobs. when I finished collage I went for a stop gap job stacking shelves at tescos whilst looking for something better, during the interview they actually asked me "why do you want this job?".... I replied quite honestly that I didn't want the job I just wanted the wages.... up to this day I really can't think of any other reason why anyone would take a job stacking shelves in a supermarket, it's hardly going to be a life ambition!

Many years ago I was doing a job on a temporary basis and had to apply for the job eventually. One of the interviewers said "what would you say if you dont get this job". I said "well I would be very annoyed, because if I am not suitable to do this job then I should have been replaced a long time ago". I then overheard the person running the interview say to a BBC governer woman who was sitting in "do you want to ask anything". She said no I was so flabbergasted by that last answer.... They told me soon after leaving the room that I had got the job!!!
