Prison officer application timescale

hi, I am about to apply to be a prison officer in Scotland. Could anyone tell me how long it takes between sending the application and attending the interview/assessment day? Also if this is sucessful how long before I would potentially start working? Any info would be great ,thanks.

I can't answer specifically for prisons, but unless it says in the advert which dates assessment and interview will take place, it could be any time. OH applied for a job a while back and we heard nothing, then an invitation to interview came in about six weeks later.
