Can anyone please tell me:
My partner is 61 and he would love to retire early. He works for a local company as a driver. How can we find out if he can, and how much state pension he would be entitled to? Thanks for any help with this.

No state pension at 61- he'll have to wait until state pension age which will be 65 for him.
He can get a quote for any company/private pensions
..And he can use the DWP/ site to apply for state pension quote (for payments once he reaches 65)

Thank you so much factor30. I thought that might be the answer. I have retired and he is desperate to retire too.
You can go to the Pensions website and they will give you a forecast - you can either do it online, or contact them and ask them to send you a personalised version by post. I do it every year, just to make sure that everything is still as expected.
