Missed the boat

Well, more acurately I missed the start of my course.

I thought it started yesterday but it started last week. It's only a five week course and I've already missed the first two so there's not much point going now. :(

They have said I can transfer to a different course if I want but there are so many to pick from.

What would you chose?

I would go for a practical course like basic DIY, plumbing, basic car maintenance. Something that could save you a lot of money in the long run!

I wanted to do something that I could develop into a hobby.

What the chuff is bobbin lace making?

In that case the upholstery one could be good.

Poking around junk shops and boot sales for old oak chairs and being able to take them home and revive them with funky seat pads is quite satisfying.

In my defence my sister booked it for me in December so any e-mails would have gone to her and my minds been pre-occupied with lots of moving stuff. I'm pretty gutted though, I was really looking forward to it.

What course were you meant to be doing evian? I was going to say go for stained glass but looks like that one's already started too.

Bobbin lace is brilliant, evian - make lace with bobbins. I did it for years.
How did you miss 2 weeks of a course, apart from the mistake with the date?
