Hi everyone, hope you can help me!

I graduated from uni last year and since then I have just been taking a year out trying to work out what I want to do with my life. During my time at uni I just lived at home since I only lived about 40 mins away. I still live at home now. My brother did the same but after taking a year out after he graduated he moved to England to do a postgraduate course. I am just back from visiting him and I feel so jealous about all the new people he has met, the indepedance he has gained from living away from home etc. He has had an amazing time there and it makes me think I want to do the same. Yet there is one problem - my family recently got a dog which is supposedly 'my dog'. I have wanted a dog for ages so I'm not regretting that but now I think it means that I can never leave home now since I would be abandoning the dog and my family would have to look after it. Now I feel like I am going to be stuck here forever and never have the chance to gain the experiences my brother has. I feel so torn ....

Hope someone can give me some advice!

Thanks

you only get one chance so have no regrets. Dont let a dog hold you back from experiencing life and doing what you want to do. Speak with your parents.
Hi twinkle,
First poster is spot on-and do speak to your parents. If they are happy to take over looking after your doggie, then off you go!!
A bit harder if they won't, but to be brutal, a dog should not restrict your life at your age.
Good luck
I agree with the other two :) a dog shouldn't be the deciding factor :) don't be scared to stay with your parents a bit longer either though. There's not much worse than leaving your folks and suddenly everything gors wrong. Whether you decide to study more, work or a bit of both I'm sure your parents would be happy to keep you until you are ready to leave :)
But defo talk to your folks :) communication is vital (: x
