I was really looking forward to the weekend, no work and my brother and his gf were coming up to stay. Yesterday morning my husband was sick, then went to collect the online shopping, I thought he was better then. My bro arrived about 11am, my daughter was so excited to see them. My husband drove us all to look for a present for my mum but I was scared when he was driving as he was so tired (his eyes were almost closing) and felt so ill. The day ended up with my husband sleeping in the car, feeling sick while we went round the shops. Got home and he felt even worse, throwing up in bed with a pounding headache (a bloody migraine)! The best part is that he is now on tablets for migraines as he had a horrendous one in March which caused him to have vertigo and slurred speech. Thankfully his speech was ok. My bro and his gf went home at 10pm, an hour and a half drive. I then had to deal with my daughter crying her eyes out. Hopefully they'll come up again next week.
My husband felt bad for ruining the weekend but it wasn't his fault, just sod's law. I am worried about him though as he is very stressed at the moment, he has raised a grievance against his work and is awaiting their outcome of his appeal and then we have no option but to take it to a tribunal. I am worried it's too much, he never sleeps and I don't know whether he should get signed off for a while. Hmmm, sorry, this should have been in B&S.
what an awful weekend...your husbands health is paramount as im sure you know.. sounds like he is stressed to the max...hope things improve for you both...
owdhamer - I'm so sorry and you most probably think I'm moaning about nothing. I was just peed off last night reading people's FB statuses, such trivial things and I wanted to slap them - just like you could prob slap me lol!
Health is the most important thing ever! Puts the biggest stress on you.
TOWIE - are you on any medication? Do you get them regularly? They can be so debilitating. *Touch wood* I've been lucky enough not to have suffered with one.
I am not having a dig miss.my day has not been good, had to go to bed at lunchtime. I hope hubby is well soon and wins his tribunal, back on the chemo Wed for me.
I take Stemitil for the dizziness, Miss. C. - Though when I get a 'dizzy migraine' I don't have a headache with it. I get a headache if I have a disturbed vision migraine. Not sure why.
The advice to see your GP is sound and press for a second opinion if need be. Thanks Mrs maverick, the horse we had share in had to be destroyed at Catterick,so we bought into Rory Boy
owdhammer - good luck for Weds! I know you weren't having a dig at all. I really feel for you, I never know what to say in situations like these but I wish you all the best! So glad you've got a supportive wife :)
If he was throwing up with a pounding headache (and he hadn't been drinking) he definitely needs treatment. I also have had a crap weekend but I will have to shake it off by 9pm tomorrow !
