Pft.. Had a meeting with the boss and I said 'I only got the contract last week.. no idea I was entitled to holiday pay'... he shrugged and said 'It's not up to me to tell you what you're entitled to'.. so asked for the meeting's content in writing and he said 'well I look forward to the fall out...' indicating that he KNOW'S he's wrong.. bring it on! Got Martin writing a very clevery wordy letter to make Chris squirm... thank you all for your previous answers... and look forward to any other sugestions... ;-)

Thanks Chris... I'm so bloody annoyed at his attitude.. I shall persue this.. and I think he knows I'm not going to let this go.. so just being my charming self and then BOOM the letter he's dreading! thanks xx
Too right, hippy - but I don't understand how nobody working there knew you'd get paid leave, not these days!
I find it odd that holidays were never discussed or asked about. DId he simply take days unpaid or did he work all year? Was he paid for bank holidays?
Is there something unusual about his initial working arrangements? Was he a contractor initially? Or was he employed via an agency (in which case holidays still accrue but some include it in the basic rate)?
(Just curious- what does the Nesque reference mean?)
