Change of job

Hi, I'm being made redundant at the end of October and I'm thinking of a change in careers.  At the moment I working in a stockbrokers, PA sort of work... I really want to get into PR, an Events Organiser... does anyone know of some good agencies etc?  Been looking on the internet but can't find anything.  Thanks.

There are some links on this site that may help.  You might be better off starting to look at marketing agencies/adverts which could lead to event management.

Don't know where you are based. But if it is UK, London is the best choice.

There are loads. If you have no experience of actually being an Event Manager, you will have to start as a "bod" - lefleting, sample drinks at the front of Tescos, etc. But if you are good and always available you can move up very quickly.

Even if your target is to work in an office for this type of work it's best to start in the field.
