Are there any further courses of action you  can take after a tribunal rules against you?

I am one of those part-timers who have been trying since 1993 (yes! ) to be reinstated into our pension scheme for the years when we were excluded ( which was deemed by the European Court of Justice to be discriminatory.)  I was stunned to be phoned by a lawyer in London earlier this year and told that because I had changed my job , even though still employed by the same local authority all the way through,  the chairman had thrown my case out!

I am claiming under three years backdating and know that I would have to contribute a fair bit myself, and cannot believe how unjust this decision is - and would love to know whether the chairman himself has been in the same job for 18 years!!

Do you belong to a Union?  Because if you are employed by a local authority even if you 'move around' to different jobs within the authority you are still employed by them.  I would approach the Union (probably Unison) because something sounds very unfair here.   Good Luck.
